Wes Worthing Screenwriter

I live in Iowa with my 4 children and actress wife, gifted at everything she does, Brandy. We have 4 dogs, 3 cats, and our home seems to be the neighborhood hub for the rest of the children in our city. Hey, at least I know where mine are at ;)

My interest in writing came at an early age, inventing my own short stories as a child and a few lame attempts at writing a novel in college, only to be distracted by imagining my novels as movies. My start on taking my writing seriously didn't arrive until a few years ago. I've backed off from my side career as a commercial and indie film actor to concentrate on my stories. Somehow through my busy life I managed to write two more features in 2010, both romcom fantasies, which I'm excited to say will be ready to take to Hollywood in 2011.

    My first two features, a family drama and an ensemble comedy, debuted well to the world placing as finalists in international contests. I since discovered romantic comedy to be my main genre. I find it challenging and fun creating compelling ways for the characters to deceive themselves and overcome their fears.
